Rahmani 30 and Abhayanand Super 30 students celebrate JEE Main success

Patna: Rahmani 30 and Abhayanand Super 30 students celebrated their success clearing the JEE Main with their mentor Abhayanand on Thursday.

Three students of Abhayanand's Super 30 and one form Rahmani 30 got ranks in the JEE Main results declared on Thursday while several others qualified for the JEE Advance.

Bapu's story will be narrated in every school after morning assembly, says Bihar CM Nitish Kumar

Bharhawa: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said Bapu's story would be narrated in every school after the prayers meet throughout the year to celebrate the centenary celebrations of Champaran Satyagrah.

Addressing a meeting after paying tributes to Pandit Raj Kumar Shukla on whose request Mahatma Gandhi visited Champaran to fight for the cause of indigo farmers against British rule.

"I'm am glad and feeling fortunate to be here on the day Pandit Raj Kumar Shukla brought Mahatma Gandhi here 100 years ago. This is my wish a statue of Pandit Raj Kumar Shulka should be constructed here and by the side this statue one statue of Sant Rout should also be installed here", he said.

He said Mahatma Gandhi had spent night at Sant Rout's residence.

He said one memorial and a road connecting Amolava to Bharhawa would also be constructed.

He also directed water resources department officials to find out a solution to the problems of erosion developed by Pandai river in several villages.

BJP workers pay tributes to Sukma martyrs

Patna: BJP workers took out candle light march on Thursday to pay tributes to 25 CRPF jawans who lost their lives in Maoists attack in Sukma forest on Monday.

The march which culminated into a meeting at Kargil Chowk demanded stern and decisive action against Maoists.

Bihar Vidyapith Entrepreneurship Centre wants to make Bihar self sufficient in egg production

Patna: Bihar Vidyapith Entrepreneurship Centre has taken up a mission to make Bihar self sufficient in egg production. The centre has organised a workshop under the aegis of Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to guide possible entrepreneurs about the egg production techniques and marketing here on Thursday.

The entrepreneurs have been told that they could apply for the unit if they were interested to open it.

Participating in the discussions, Madhya Bihar Gramib Bank general manager Harsh Chopra said the workshops would be held district-wise as in Biharsharif (April 28), Nawada (May 2), Gaya (May 3), Aurangabad (May 4), Rohtas (May 5), Kaimur (May 8), Buxar (May 9), Ara (May 10), Jehanabad (May 11) and Arwal (May 12).

About 200 entrepreneurs got them registered for opening egg production units trhough the help of Bihar Vidyapith Entrepreneurship Centre.

Gandhi Panorama Film Festival ends

Patna: Three-day Gandhi Panorama Film Festival ended at Adhiveshan Bhawan auditorium here on Thursday.

Organised by Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Department, the festival saw about a dozen of film based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi exhibiting in the last three days. The festival was organised to commemorate the centenary year celebrations of Champaran Satyagrah.
